Description: As the largest facility in the VA’s Northwest Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 20), VA Puget Sound serves veterans throughout Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. In FY 2008, 68,102 Veterans came to VA Puget Sound for treatment and care, including 739,301 visits for outpatient care. VA Puget Sound continues to be a leader on many fronts including telemedicine clinics, cardiology, dermatology, surgery and home spinal cord injury care. Inpatient medical care is provided to veterans in the South Sound via a sharing agreement with Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis.

Description: The Spokane VA Medical Center is dedicated to providing quality health care services to veterans. In carrying out this mission, the VAMC focuses on providing primary and secondary care, with emphasis on preventive health and chronic disease management. The VAMC operates 46 hospital beds and 38 rehabilitation-oriented nursing home beds. A mobile clinic, outfitted with two exam rooms, provides selected primary care services to veterans living in remote areas outside the metropolitan Spokane area. Spokane is responsible for coordinating access to the full health care benefits package for enrolled veterans. To this end, the VAMC coordinates referrals to the VA Puget Sound Health Care System and VAMC Portland for tertiary care, as well as utilizing community health care resources.

Description: The Vancouver Division of PVAMC is located 12 miles north of Portland VAMC on the Washington State side of the Columbia River. The 50 acre campus houses a variety of clinics, services and programs serving the physical and mental health needs of veterans, and provides housing and vocational opportunities. Eight psychologists offer clinical services on-site. Bed services and housing programs for veterans on campus include a Nursing Skilled Care Unit with an 8 bed hospice section, Comprehensive Rehabilitation Unit, Transitional Lodging Unit, and longer-term Housing Facility. A Lodging Unit is available for veterans who are being assessed and/or treated by the Portland VAMC/OHSU Regional Liver and Kidney Transplant teams.

Description: Since 1921, the Walla Walla VAMC has served area veterans. The system serves more than 65,000 veterans living in a 14-county area of SE Washington, NE Oregon and Central-western Idaho.  These services are provided through a network of community based outpatient clinics supported by the Walla Walla VAMC.
